Love, Love, Love Miss Molly Fashions

Dress - Miss Molly, Belt - Forever New, Pumps - Foschini

I LOVE my Miss Molly dress! It may have taken me ages to find the perfect belt and shoes to go with it, but all that walking up and down Gateway was great exercise.  I think I need some nice sandals for a more casual day look but for now this'll do. :-)

Antique Breakfast

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love to eat. Lately the only time we manage to get out for a meal seems to be breakfast on the weekends. One of my favourite places in Durban has to be Antique Café on Churchill. I adore the fact that I can eat delicious food in a peaceful courtyard garden and follow it up with a stroll through room after room of antiques.

Their menu is small but varied, with healthy breakfast options as well as oh so naughty but oh so delicious scones and muffins and other lunch goodies.

If you've never been there, do yourself a favour and pay them a visit. Be sure to get there early though as it does get rather busy from 10am onwards.

Stars In My Eyes

I am completely and utterly in love with all four of these looks. If I didn't have a wedding to save for I would have been in and out of Forever New so fast that heads would still be spinning. The playsuit, high waist shorts and floral shirts are a definite favourite, as are the shoes in the bottom left pic, but I truly want it all. Unfortunately just the dress on the top left costs over R900 so I guess I will just have to keep dreaming for now.

Market Days

Fabulous Fakes - 076 077 3165
In my world, there is no day better than a Saturday. Friday is a distant memory, Monday is still far enough away and best of all there are shops and places and people to visit.

This Saturday was one I've been looking forward to for a while as it was the first I Heart Market of 2011. Most markets when they're young and not super well established tend to attract a different class of stallholder and the I Heart Market is no exception. Filled with fashion-forward, creative people and amazingly delicious food it really ticks all the right boxes.

I bought the most amazing dress from Miss Molly Fashions, which of course meant I had to visit other shops to find the perfect belt (Forever New) and shoes (Foschini) to go with it. There is no point buying half an outfit after all.

Another stall that caught my eye both at the I Heart and Essenwood was eb+am. The quality of the material they use combined with the classic lines of their clothing has put them firmly on my watch list. I am eagerly awaiting their Autumn/Winter line as I have been told to watch out for some beautiful high-waisted trousers similar to a pair of shorts I had my eye on.

For those of you who have never been, it is definitely well worth checking out.

Coffee and a Lark at the Night Market

Last night saw myself and my other half heading off to the Night Market on Gale Street with some friends to see what it was like and how many familiar faces we could spot.

The vibe is very trendy and I found myself wishing that I owned half of the outfits I spotted. I am definitely going to have to make a trip to the shops this weekend.

All in all I found it worthwhile going, even if it was super busy and I couldn't really browse as much as I would have liked. Luckily for me a lot of the stall holders can be found at Essenwood or the I Heart Market so I will have plenty of opportunity to pick and choose at my leisure.
